Finnish Legend Samuel Vousden Claims SIXTH GGMillion$ Title!

Dominguez Our Pick for Glory

The latest GGMillion$ was always set up to be a classic, and the chip leader of ‘Jon AV Santos’ from Mexico started with a big chip lead and a great shot at winning. Despite having 87 big blinds and being a hot favorite at +320, he wasn’t overly backed by GGPoker bettors – did GGPoker fans think him bad value for short odds, or was his luck about to run out?

A little further back, the shrewd backers picked their favorites, as Samuel ‘€urop€an’ Vousden (54BB), was second favorite at +436, despite being just fourth in chips when play began. It’s easy to see why 29 bettors parted with over $3,000 well before the final began, with the Finnish superstar one of the most experienced players at the final table.

Behind the two favorites, ‘dafaniu’ (63BB) and ‘GREPoker’ (59BB) were available at +542 and +558, respectively, but they were largely ignored for Juan Dominguez (31BB) behind them at +742. Admittedly, the Spanish player’s stack topped just three others, but he was our pre-game pick* of the bunch for the win. Neither Artur Martirosian nor Michael Addamo made the final this week, so there was no record extension for Martirosian.

The Daily Scoop – GGMillion$ Season 2025 Episode 29

A stunning final table, saw two Europeans singled out for greatness. In the end, it was Samuel Vousden who took the crown as the overnight leader blew their chance to make their stack pay and win the GGMillion$ title.

As play got underway, Fedor Holz was on co-commentary alongside Jeff Gross. Jeff, who has $3.75m in live earnings in poker tournaments, was streaming alongside one of the best to do it, as Fedor has an incredible $50 million in ranking tournaments.

Key Moments from the Felt

The bust-outs started early this week, as the Montenegrin player Dejan Kaladjurdjevic left with $36,737 in ninth place, his suited jack-ten no match for ‘dafaniu’ with pocket aces. Another jack-ten was the reason someone left the action, as Brazilian Rodrigo Sirchuk saw 28 big blinds disappear early (1:20:00). He committed his stack on a board of 9-8-8-4-8, but he was up against Samuel Vousden’s queen-nine. GGWizard suggested the all-in for the at-risk Brazilian, and he made that play, but the Finnish superstar made a brilliant call on the river to move third in chips as Sirichuk departed in eighth for $47,041.

Aside from both ‘GREPoker’ and ‘Jon AV Santos’ holding pocket aces in the same hand, not too much happened for some time before the fuse was lit. Indonesia-based ‘dafaniu’ saw his pocket jacks crushed by the German player Tobias Eichenseher’s pocket aces before running ace-jack into another pair of rockets held by the overnight leader and crashing out in seventh for $60,235.

We told you that Santos was not the one as chip leader, and guess what – we were right! Juan Dominguez had ace-king dominating Santos’ ace-queen. It was still only a 76% shot from the flop for the Spanish player, who held magnificently, sending Santos home with $77,130 in sixth. Soon, Dominguez, sixth in chips overnight but our hot tip heading into the final, had another victim, taking out ‘GREPoker’ in fifth when ace-nine flipped well against pocket eights, a nine on the flop sending the Russian player home with $98,764.

An extended period without anyone leaving saw Dominguez slip from a solid second in chips to the short stack. All-in with ace-five pre-flop, he was in a great position to double up through Eichenseher, but the German’s jack-seven of hearts got lucky, as he called to hit a board of K-7-4-3-3 and bust our overnight pick in the cruellest of circumstances (3:42:08) for $126,465.

After Russia’s Sergei Denisov busted in third place, contriving to bust with jack-eight against the ace-king belonging to Eichenseher. A jack in the window provided the smallest of sweats, as a king arrived with it, and the German player bagged a 3:1 chip lead heads-up when his superior hand held from that moment.

GGPoker bettors backed Vousden, but could he come back to win? Taking a slim lead after a series of marginal hands went his way, the Finn had a slight lead with 6.9m to Eichenseher’s 6.8m. Soon, all the chips went in (4:12:00). A raise from Vousden with nine-eight on a flop of T-7-6 was a 100% call according to GGWizard for Eichenseher with ten-eight. The German took the sub-optimal play; however, instead shoving for all 5.8 million of his remaining chips. Vousden snap-called, of course, and while a nine would chop the pot, Eichenseher couldn’t turn or river a miracle card as a jack and a four landed as the at-risk player ended up drawing dead to give ‘€urop€an’ the win and $265,514.

Toss-Up Between European Aces Goes Against Us

We said that both Samuel Vousden and Juan Dominguez looked good value heading into the final table, but ultimately it was not the Spaniard’s day. Losing that last all-in with ace-high called by a jack-high was brutal, but some great play can leave European online poker proud.

For ‘€urop€an’; however, it was six times the charm as he bullied his way into a final lead, then won a crucial final hand for almost all the chips while the less-experienced Tobias Eichenseher from Germany pushed all-in when GGWizard said to call on the flop. Would the chips have gone in anyway on the turn? Quite possibly. Was it still a post-flop error that cost the German the match? Also yes.

Do you make the call there? Re-raise to fold if the Finnish player shoves? Maybe you should be playing the weekly qualifiers for the $10,000-entry GGMillion$ on GGPoker.
