GGPoker And r/poker Send Two Players To WSOP $10K Main Event

GGPoker & r/poker Send Two Lucky Players To The 2025 WSOP $10K Main Event
GGPoker, the World’s Biggest Poker Room, has teamed up with r/poker, Reddit’s largest and most active global poker community, to deliver the ultimate dream for two everyday poker grinders: a seat at the $10,000 buy-in World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas.
Through a series of specially organized freeroll and freebuy tournaments called ‘r/poker Goes To Vegas,’ GGPoker and r/poker gave community members a shot at poker’s biggest stage. Two deserving winners are now headed to the heart of the action.
The WSOP Main Event Qualifiers
Remi Alamian Darunkola of Germany emerged victorious on GGPoker after battling through eight freebuy heats; each tournament was free to enter and featured $2 rebuys. The top 50 players from each heat advanced to a final showdown, where Remi clinched the Main Event seat — a dream come true for any poker player.
Meanwhile, over on ClubGG, Canada’s Terrance Lee outlasted the field in one of four no-cost freerolls, which culminated in a 50-player final. His cool-headed run through the final earned him the coveted $10K ticket to the Main Event.
Real-Time Coverage & Community Support
Both winners will be followed live on the ground by GGPoker’s media team, documenting their full WSOP experience — from day one nerves to potential Main Event glory. Fans from the 300,000+ strong r/poker community will be able to cheer them on through trip reports, catch-up threads, and behind-the-scenes content, capturing the highs and heartbreaks of the biggest tournament in poker.
More to Come for the r/poker Community
GGPoker hopes to work with r/poker again in the near future on a range of exclusive events, such as:
- More online games and special formats
- Live poker trips for r/poker members
- New ways for everyday players to shine on the big stage
“Working with r/poker has been a natural fit,” said a GGPoker spokesperson. “We’re passionate about bringing the thrill of poker to the players who live and breathe it — we hope this is just the beginning.”
