The fourth week of the WSOP Online tournament has concluded, crowning six new champions who have each claimed WSOP Online gold bracelets. Event #13: 6-Handed NLH Championship
Kicking things off, Event #13 was the $5,000 buy-in 6-Handed No Limit Hold’em Championship, which began at 18:00 UTC on September 3rd. This fast-paced event attracted 478 players to create the $2,270,500 prize pool, which was distributed among 69 top finishers. For those who managed to survive long enough to cash, the smallest payout was $10,569.20, more than doubling their buy-in. After a competitive final table, which was completed in less than 3 hours, it was Canada’s ‘SpicySausage’ emerging victorious, securing the gold bracelet and an impressive $381,367.27 top prize. Runner-up ‘Ilia Arkhipov’ from Belarus earned $282,911.76, while Mexican poker player ‘goalden’ finished third, pocketing $209,874.24.
Event #14: Bounty No Limit Hold’em
Event #14 ran on September 6th and was the $500 buy-in THE BIG Bounty No Limit Hold’em tournament. The more affordable buy-in, by WSOP standards, attracted a significant field of 2,784 players, all competing for a slice of the $1,322,400 prize pool, half of which would be awarded in bounties. A total of 312 participants cashed, with the minimum payout of $510.48 going to 115 players. The tournament field included the 2020 WSOP Main Event champion, Damian Salas, who finished 38th for $1,517.44 and $2,281.25 in bounties. Third place went to China’s ‘houxiaoli,’ who took home $50,252.25 in prize money to go along with $17,530.30 in bounties. Israel’s ‘GonnaBluff’ claimed second place, earning $63,242.36 plus $20,380.43 in bounties. The ultimate winner, representing Austria, was ‘fakesuperuser,’ who walked away with $63,243.58 in prize money and an impressive $68,387.45 in bounties.
Event #15: Ultra Deepstack No Limit Hold’em
Event #15 was the $800 buy-in Ultra Deepstack No Limit Hold’em tournament. The game’s slower pace and heavily strategic nature attracted 1,635 players, generating a total prize pool of $1,242,600 which would be divided among the final 240 runners. The event saw a minimum cash payout of $1,662.99 for those who finished in the money. Ultimately, it was a strong showing for Austrian players, with Chris Puetz taking third place, earning $92,894.47, and ‘WildesTopHuhn77’ finishing second, pocketing $120,469.21, while Slovenian ‘JohanC-14’ claimed the top prize of $156,230.48 and the coveted WSOP gold bracelet.
Event #16: Beat the Pros Bounty
September 9th marked the completion of Event #16, the $215 buy-in Beat the Pros No Limit Hold’em tournament. Out of the 7,708 entries, only 912 players would make the money, all of whom would earn a minimum of $210.44 from the $1,524,642.40 prize poo, plus bounties. After the last hand was dealt it was, Poland’s ‘IcePokerGuild’ who secured the win, taking home $65,218.42 plus $52,384.11 in bounties. Second place went to ‘ShtoneKilla’ who earned $65,213.44 and $17,102.99 in bounties, while the ‘raiseitupKR’ rounded out the top three, collecting $3,806.26 in bounties to compliment 51,818.43 for finishing thrid.
Event #17: MILLIONAIRE MAKER
The highlight of the weekend was Event #17, the $1,500 buy-in MILLIONAIRE MAKER. With 15 Day 1 flights leading into a final Day 2, players had ample opportunity to participate and compete for a share of the massive $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool of which $1,000,000 was guaranteed for first. When all was said and done, the total prize pool had swelled to $7,030,950, and 533 players advanced to Day 2 from the total 4,934 entrants. The final table was a global affair, with players from sevent different countries vying for the title. In the end, Mexico’s Dennis Volz claimed the top prize of $1,287,142.95 and the WSOP gold bracelet after defeating Brazil’s ‘Xerife’ who took home $914,946.69 for second place. Russia’s IVAN ILICHEV secured third place, earning $650,461.70.
Event #18: Short Deck Championship
The last event of the past week was Event #18, the $5,000 buy-in Short Deck Championship 3-Stack Event. A total of 92 buy-ins were recorded by the time late registration was completed, creating a prize pool of $437,000. When the final table was finished, Oliver Weis from Poland claimed the championship bracelet and the $113,950.34 top prize. Second place went to Thomas piotr Mikucinski from Austria who earned $84,532.46 while third place, worth $62,709.25, went to Poland’s Marcin Barwinski.
2024 WSOP Online Bracelet Count
Adding to the excitement of the series is the 2024 WSOP Online Bracelet Count, a contest that tracks the number of bracelets won by players from different countries. Top-three finishes in each bracelet event contribute to a country’s standing, with the top 10 countries earning special freerolls for their players at the end of the series.
