Dan Almeida discovered poker in 2006 while studying mathematics at college. He started playing some home games with friends and soon discovered online poker.
Online, he started with 180-player SNGs and worked on this modality for a few years. In 2010 he officially migrated to MTTs but still led a double life as a math teacher and an online MTT grinder.
Then, in 2012, he started the Midas Team, which today is one of the biggest poker teams in Brazil. Soon after, he was invited to join the new online poker school project, Sensei Poker. During that time, he produced videos focused on the theoretical part of the game and became recognized by the community as one of the greatest scholars of the game.
Since then, Dan has taught classes at most poker teams in Brazil and has been responsible for training more than 500 professional poker players. In mid-2019 he started his journey as a streamer on Twitch and soon became a GGPoker streamer.
There were more than 1500 hours of streams in recent years, including live broadcasts of victories such as the WSOP Circuit in 2022 and success in most of the regular GGPoker tournaments.
