Felipe "Mojave" Ramos is a Brazilian poker player and GGPoker Ambassador. He is considered one of the South American game pioneers. He has accumulated over $2.6 million in lifetime earnings as a professional poker player. Coming from a poor neighborhood in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he started playing poker at the lowest stakes. In January 2008 he left his career in the Financial Markets and as a part-time musician to pursue his dream of becoming a professional poker player.
He was able to start on the path to his dream career in 2007 when he won a BSOP event in his hometown of São Paulo. With that victory, he received a sponsorship deal that allowed him to turn pro and begin his poker adventures, competing in games around the world. He has cashed in numerous tournaments on the EPT and LAPT circuits before heading to Las Vegas for his first WSOP in 2009. At this event, he made the final table of the $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha tournament. That achievement was one of many firsts, including becoming the first Brazilian at the final table of a $5,000 event and the first Brazilian to make the final nine in a Pot-Limit Omaha tournament.
Ramos is also known as a celebrity coach and seminar speaker, claiming ownership of the concept of "Poker Mentality" and starting the hashtag #PokerLifestyle. He is a popular figure on social media, inspiring new players and poker fans on his Instagram account @FelipeMojave. He is considered the number one poker streamer in Brazil and is a close friend of Brazilian superstar Neymar.
Ramos has also been a host and commentator on many popular poker shows, including the WSOP Main Event and Super MILLION$
